YouTube with extended data protection
This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The website is operated by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the extended data protection mode does not necessarily exclude the passing on of data to YouTube partners. This way, regardless of whether you watch a video, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google Marketing Network.
As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube's servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube can store various cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can receive information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user experience and prevent fraud attempts.
If necessary, further data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.
The use of YouTube is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in their data protection declaration at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en .
The company is certified according to the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the USA that is intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards when data is processed in the USA. Every DPF certified company undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. Further information on this can be obtained from the provider at the following link:

Mailgun
On our website we use Mailgun, an email API service for our email newsletter and for user management (registration). The service provider is the American company Mailgun Technologies Inc., 112 E Pecan St #1135, San Antonio, TX 78205, USA.
In order for us to send you the newsletter, your browser must communicate with Mailgun's servers in the USA. This tells Mailgun Technologies Inc. that you have visited our site. Mailgun is used in the interest of uniform and secure communication with registered users who have also subscribed to the newsletter.
Such a data record of a received email contains:
- date and time of receipt,
- recipient email address,
- the access status (e.g. message opened),
- the description of the type of web browser/email client used,
- the IP address of the receiving computer
Consequences and risks
To process your data, we work with the US company Mailgun. However, the European Court of Justice has ruled that the EU-US Privacy Shield, which was intended to ensure data protection in the USA, is not sufficient. Therefore, we may only transfer your data to the USA if you give us your express consent.
The person concerned therefore expressly consents to the involvement of Mailgun in data processing.
The risks are essentially as follows:
- The European Court of Justice has ruled that US laws allowing US authorities to access EU personal data do not comply with the requirements of EU law. These laws are too imprecise and do not give those affected sufficient rights to defend themselves against access by the US authorities.
- The Court emphasizes that certain surveillance programs that allow the US authorities access to personal data transferred from the EU to the US for national security reasons do not impose any restrictions on the powers conferred on the US authorities or guarantees for potentially data subjects outside the USA.
For more information about the data processed through the use of Mailgun, please see the Privacy Policy at:
